FAQ

An evaluation is required so I can identify the client’s strengths and areas of need to form a plan of care. It is important to understand potential causes and reasons for your concerns, which can be identified during an evaluation. Evaluations are completed at the initiation of services and annually if services last more than one year. We will look at physical, cognitive, and emotional skills potentially impacting performance related to sleep, regulation, play, feeding, education, and daily living skills. We will accept another evaluation completed by an occupational therapist to initiate services on a case by case basis. Previous evaluations must have been completed within the last 6 months.

You, or another guardian (18 years or older) must be present with the child during therapy services. The exception being if services take place at your child's school.

Cancellations will happen, and that’s okay! If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice, there is no fee. Cancelations within 24 hours will be subject to a cancelation fee or no show fees are $50/sessions. No show fees mean you are not home when we arrive for the appointment. 

Maryland Medicaid: We are in-network with Maryland Medicaid.

Humana/Tricare: Otter Kids Therapy is a non-participating preferred for Humana/Tricare. You will need a referral from Humana/TriCare prior to beginning occupational therapy services. Services are paid by you and then submitted to Humana/TriCare for reimbursement. Unfortunately, we are not able to submit the claim for you.

Don’t have Medicaid of Humana/TriCare: For those who do not have Medicaid or Humana/TriCare insurance, our services can be covered by your out of network insurance benefits, paid with HSA or FSA accounts, or paid as an out-of-pocket payment. We can provide you with a Supervill so you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Prices listed below are self-pay rates. Frequency of services will be decided upon together at initiation of services or during evaluation. Contact us for more information.
