Otter Kids Therapy aspires to provide quality services to our children and their families through a variety of assessment and treatment options. Our goal is to optimize each child's growth and development of self-regulation, motor, social, and self-care skills so that they may reach their highest potential to play, learn and be successful in all that they do.

A 1:1 evaluation in conducted through a combo of parent/teacher interview, observation, and/or standardized assessment to help establish a baseline and assess areas of need. A written report is provided. Recommendations are made and goals or treatment are developed with your family. **This is a critical and required first step in your child's treatment program to initiate services.

1:1 treatment sessions focus on your child's individual profile and is designed to address the functional skills of the whole child and support each child to reach his/her own potential. We know that your child is a unique individual and we utilize their interests and strengths to guide our sessions. We envelop treatment of underlying deficits into play and use child led play to guide and design a program that is right for you and your family.

Consultation services are different than ongoing therapy and are provided on an as-needed basis. These services are focused on those who do not require frequent therapy sessions and meetings are designed to provide education, guidance, and address specific concerns/questions. This may be appropriate for those looking to set up specific home programs for their child or looking for suggestions for classroom strategies. They are provided at most once every 6-8 weeks.
